Believing in the people as in Heaven was the lifelong motto of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

In his lifetime, the Chairman made a ceaseless journey of field guidance for the people with his noble outlook on the people that they are an almighty being and one should pluck even a star from the sky and bring a flower into bloom even on a rock if they want.

Till the last moments of his life, he had visited at least 14 290 units across the DPRK, covering the distance of 669 844 kilometers equivalent to going round the earth nearly 17 times.

Such revolutionary anecdotes and historical terms as “short and uncomfortable sleep and rice-ball”, “field haircut”, “forced march in the blizzards of winter”, “forced march in the sweltering weather” and “forced march at midnight” were born in the course of his field guidance. He also took a measure to completely renew water in the water tanks of the Changgwang Health Complex.

The slogan “We Serve the People!” set forth by the Chairman vividly shows his political faith. And everything for the people was the fundamental principle of his activities as well as his lifetime goal.

Indeed, he was the great leader who always found himself among the people and dedicated his all to their happiness.

That’s why the Korean people are loud in his praises that the exploits performed by Chairman Kim Jong Il all his life represent his total dedication to the people.
