While US President Donald Trump and his administration have already adopted policy of sending asylum seekers from South America to Mexico, based on some information as well as intelligence reports, it also has decided to re-scrutinize some of the asylum seekers from Bangladesh as well as few of those who already had been granted asylum. According to information, former chief justice of Bangladesh, Surendra Kumar Sinha (S K Sinha) had got asylum in 2017 as he fled the country to escape series of criminal charges including some charges of corruption and money laundering. Mr. Sinha also is accused of maintaining links with radical Islamic groups as well as organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami, which is known for its militancy connection. Sitting in United States, Surendra Kumar Sinha reportedly has been actively collaborating with these Islamist groups in ousting the democratically elected government in Bangladesh thus transforming the country into an Islamic republic.
Similarly, there are serious allegations of abetting into criminal and terrorist activities by few of the Bangladeshi so-called journalists who had sought asylum in the US. According to information, sitting in the United States, these “journalists”, most of whom are known as anti-American, anti-Semitic and loyal to Jamaat-e-Islami and Bangladesh Nationalist Party are running several channels on YouTube and other social media, through which, they are continuously broadcasting radical Islamic contents as well as contents in favour of militancy and terrorism.
