In Surat, a girl was admitted for treatment of rabies in civil a few days ago after being bitten by a stray dog 6 months ago. But during the ongoing treatment, the relatives had taken the girl home leaving the case incomplete. After which the girl died, the whole family immediately reached the civil hospital to take anti-rabies injection. In which more than 30 family members were injected with rabies.
18-year-old Jyoti, who lives near Surat’s Rander Mora Bhagal vegetable market, was behaving strangely after her health deteriorated for two-three days. That’s why after being shifted to civil two days ago, it was found that he had rabies. However, late night the family took Jyoti home after taking leave against medical advice. Finally Jyoti died in the morning.

When the dog bit the girl, the course of anti-rabies vaccine was not completed and even after the effect of rabies, the family took Jyoti home leaving the treatment incomplete and finally Jyoti lost her life. On knowing about this incident, the team of Municipal Corporation reached Jyoti’s house. That’s why all the family members who came in contact with Jyoti were asked to get anti-rabies injection.

Today, on the information of the Municipal Corporation, more than 30 members of Jyoti’s family, including children, together reached the civil hospital to take anti-rabies injection. So the curiosity spread among the people present in the civil as well. After this all the family members were given anti rabies injection.

Regarding this, Kanchanban of the family said that our 18-year-old daughter died when she took two doses less of rabies. Presently around 30 members of our family have come to the civil hospital to get anti-rabies injection. There are other children in the family. We didn’t know that something like this had happened to our daughter. The municipal corporation told us that you should get all the doses of anti-rabies injection.

If this dose is not taken then this type of incident can also happen. Therefore, people are requested to compulsorily take anti-rabies vaccine dose after dog bite. At present the members of this family are being given anti-rabies injection. Because they are also likely to be affected by rabies.
