Kolkata, May 19 (Hindustan). Krishna Pad Bagh alias Bhanu Bagh, the main accused in Tuesday’s explosion at a firecracker factory in Egra, East Mednipur, West Bengal, died during treatment at a hospital in Cuttack, Odisha around 2 am on Thursday. He fled to Odisha after the incident. State CID team is present there. His body will be brought to West Bengal.
East Midnipore Superintendent of Police Amarnath has confirmed Bhanu’s death. It is noteworthy that nine people were killed in this blast. According to the doctors at the Cuttack hospital, Bhanu had suffered 80 per cent burns. According to the local police, the son and nephew of the deceased Bhanu are also the main accused in the incident. His nephew has already been taken into CID custody for eight days.
The family members of the deceased told the hospital administration that his house is in Balasore, Odisha. Aadhaar card with Baleshwar address is shown as proof of identity. The hospital was told that he was cooking. At the same time he was scorched due to fire.
