To give relief from vehicular pollution in Bihar, the Transport Department is working fast on the operation of CNG and electric buses. The department is going to start operating electric buses on new routes for the purpose of clean environment. So that people can avoid the pollution spread by the vehicle.

Electric buses will start soon on 20 new routes

At present, more than 25 electric buses are operating on various routes from Patna and Patna. Looking at the success of the electric bus, electric buses will be started on other routes as well. According to the department, very soon the operation of electric buses will be started on 20 new routes, in which Gaya, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Muzaffarpur, Nalanda will be included.

More than 40 buses will be operational

About 40 buses will operate on the selected 20 routes. Regarding this, information regarding the route has also been sought from these districts, so that buses can be operated on all those routes. Where people are having trouble right now. Electric buses will be started operating in all such areas. All these buses will be monitored through the Transport Corporation and will run in PPP mode.

Buses will be operational before August

The operation of these electric buses will start before August. For this, applications will be sought in the next month according to the routes. Later, after scrutiny of the application, the vehicle owners will be given permission to operate. The electric bus will be pollution free and equipped with CCTV cameras. There will be a complete system of public announcement system, smart ticketing, tracking system, fire alarm and fire fighting in the bus.
