MS University is running BCA course in Science Faculty since years. In which every year there is a crowd of students to get admission. Keeping this in mind the faculty started BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) course with 120 seats in Padra College two years ago, so that maximum number of students can be admitted. However, due to non-availability of computer teaching teachers, the Faculty of Science is being conducted in the BCA building for the last one year and now the faculty authorities have decided to conduct this course permanently in the Faculty of Science campus. For this, the faculty has written a letter demanding a place from the university administration.
Last year, applications were invited for the appointment of 30 teachers on contract to teach BCA, but against this only 6 teachers could be appointed. On the other hand, due to non-availability of electricity connection, the construction work of the laboratory could not be completed on time. Consequently, this course was taught to the students in the second shift in the BCA building of the Faculty of Science. Now that the curriculum of Padra College will be permanently shifted to the Faculty of Science. The faculty authorities will also have to create additional facilities, including a computer lab, for the 120 students of Padra College, in addition to the 200 students already pursuing the BCA course here.
Private college asked for salary offer for teaching computer
Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Kataria says that we can pay a salary of Rs 35,000 to temporary teachers as per the rules of the university. On the other hand, due to the dominance of computer and IT in engineering, students want to take admission. Thus, private colleges are increasing their seats. Along with this, other teachers are being offered exorbitant salaries to teach the students. Also, some of the candidates showed hesitation to attend Padra College. Due to the transfer of this course to the Faculty of Science, there will be teachers to teach the students, otherwise the current teachers will have to teach in two shifts or depend more and more on visiting faculty.
Padra College has 100 new computers lying for one year
According to the information, about 100 new computers were ordered for the BCA course in Padra College, but the students of Padra are being taught in the Faculty of Science, so the packing of these computers has not been opened. For one year now it will be kept in the BCA building of the Faculty of Science.
