Now teachers will not check copies during summer vacation, JCERT withdraws earlier order

Copy Check in Summer Vacation:Government school teachers of the state will no longer have to evaluate answer books during summer vacation. JCERT has modified its earlier order. A letter to this effect has been issued. In the letter issued by JCERT, it has been said that in the districts where there is summer vacation from May 15 to June 3, now the evaluation work of the answer book will be completed by June 10. In the districts where the summer vacation is starting on or after May 19, those districts have been asked to complete the evaluation of answer sheets before the vacation starts.

Schools have been instructed to prepare results by June 10. The result of annual examination in schools will be published on 12th June. On the day of result publication, schools have been asked to organize seminars and call parents. The schools have been asked to submit the subject-wise results of the students to their cluster resource persons as per the format provided by the JCERT. Sankul Sadhan Sevi will upload it on the e-Vidyavahini portal by June 20. It has been asked to complete its process by June 20. Results will be uploaded at block level from 21 to 27 June and at district level from 28 to 30 June.

Teachers organizations welcomed the decision

Teachers’ organizations had opposed the answer book evaluation during the summer vacation. In this regard, the representatives of the union had also met the Jharkhand Education Project Director. Anoop Kesari, State President of All Jharkhand Primary Teachers Association, Baljit Singh, General Secretary of Jharkhand Progressive Teachers Association, Vijay Bahadur Singh of Jharkhand State Joint Teachers Morcha, Sanjay Dubey of Integrated Assistant Teachers Morcha have welcomed the change in the decision.
