Piyasha talks about business tycoon’s mistress

Back in 2017, Faria Mahbub Piyasha’s name came into media’s spotlight when two university students filed rape cases against the son of a jewelry businessman in Bangladesh. It was alleged, Safat Ahmed, son of Dildar Ahmed, owner of Apon Jewelers, a leading gold and diamond ornament selling chain in Bangladesh had raped two university students at Raintree Hotel in Dhaka’s Banani area. Piysha’s name was mentioned in the case, as a witness. But later the victims had filed a general diary against Piyasha accusing her of putting pressure on the victims for withdrawing the case. 

It may be mentioned here that, Faria Mahbub Piyasha (also known as Piasha) is a ex daughter-in-law of the owner of Apon Jewelers.

After four years, Piyasha’s name has returned to media’s attention. According to media reports, Piyasha entered the media through a reality program on NTV. Later she got acquainted to a number of the members of the Bangladeshi showbiz.

Death of business tycoon’s mistress

It may be mentioned here that, a case has been filed against Sayem Sobhan Anvir, managing director of Bangladesh’s largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group accusing him of abetting the suicide of his mistress named Mosarat Jahan Munia, 21, of Comilla, a second-year student and HSC exam candidate at Mirpur Cantonment Public School and College. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Gulshan Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sudip Kumar Chakraborty confirmed the matter.

Deceased elder sister Nusrat Jahan, filed a case under Section 306 of the Penal Code at Gulshan police station, accusing Bashundhara Group Managing Director (MD) Sayem Sobhan Anvir of abetting the suicide, who rented the flat for her. Munia was found hanging in a posh apartment at city’s Gulshan area. The apartment was rented by Sayem Sobhan Anvir.

Section 306 stipulates: “If any person commits suicide, whoever abets the commission of such suicide, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.”

Quoting her sister, police said that Munia committed suicide in that flat, where she started living alone in March.

Meanwhile, a Dhaka court on Monday imposed a travel ban on Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, barring him from leaving the country.

What Piyasha says about the mistress and the death?

As the family members of Mosarat Jahan Munia mentioned the name of ‘Piayasha’ in the murder case, reporters of Bangla Tribune called Faria Mahbub Piyasha to check if it was the same Piyasha whose name came in 2017. Piyasha, admitting her role in informing Sayem Sobhan Anvir’s mother about his mistress Munia, as she wanted to save a married Anvir’s family from social disrepute.

Piyasha also claims, Munia was a psycho and greedy.

Whoever is the culprit will face the trial, says home minister

Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Wednesday said those who will be found responsible for the death of Mosharrat Jahan Munia must be brought to book.

“I clearly say that everything will go as per the law. The law will take its own course. Whoever is the culprit will face the trial. So, we can say more about it only after investigation,” he added.

A source told Blitz, investigation agencies will soon interrogate Faria Mahbub Piyasha and if she is found responsible of the death of Munia, she may face arrest.
