For a personal reason, I have to visit Dhaka prison (Dhaka Central Jail) quite frequently. 
A few days back, when I went there, there was a man in the VISITORS AREA, a man in his fifties weeping like a baby. He was yelling “O’ Allah, why didn’t you rather take him forever?” If anyone has ever visited the place, knows, it’s a place with huge commotion and hardly you know what the other person is saying from a distance of even 2 feet.

Palestinian prisoners have been in the news lately with two highly publicised deaths and a hunger strike. Israel’s response was to open the doors of a prison to scrutiny. More than 50 journalists from world media went on a rare four-hour visit last month to Ofer prison, a half-hour drive from Jerusalem, getting briefings from officials and limited access to prisoners and cells.

At the recently concluded 4th Union Asia Pacific Region Conference on Lung Health (APRC 2013) in Hanoi, Viet Nam, countries were appealed to strictly enforce smoke-free laws on the ground and maximize potential public health outcomes.
